Wow. What a crazy and amazing past few days it has been. I just got back from IMATS in Pasadena and words can not describe how much fun I had! It was such an amazing experience to be amongst fellow cosmetics junkies such as myself and talented artists and gurus!

Nails of The Day - OPI Teenage Dream

Please excuse my hang nail of death. Super painful. So these are nails from a few days ago before I received my lovely Birchbox for June that had Deborah Lippmann Stripper to Go Nail Laquer Removers. Sigh.... Just thinking about all of those helpless cotton balls that were destroyed in removing the glitter polish. It's ok I am really happy that I was able to get Teenage Dream from the Katy Perry for OPI collection. I got it at a random hair salon in the mall. I really love this polish! Super cute and made my nails sparkle! The only downfall was the crazy amount of cotton balls + remover to take it off.

Totally loving - BabyGanics Sunscreen

I was on a mission to find the perfect sunscreen for Zoe. Summer is here and I know I needed to protect Zoe's fair skin to the max! I was reading a few reviews online and I read an article on sunscreens to avoid and what were the best ones. BabyGanics was on the good list so I began my search to try it out. They were sold out on their website and Babies'R'Us! Le tears! I was losing hope that I wouldn't be able to try it out before the weekend came along. I finally found it on Amazon and since I have the Prime membership FREE two day shipping trial I decided to give it a go.

We were headed to a fun weekend at Fisherman's Warf in San Francisco and the weather was going to be clear skies with a slight breeze. I lathered Zoe up with the sunscreen and I love that it was not heavily scented. I even offered some to her father but he refused. After a long day out and about I was so happy that when we returned home Zoe had no signs of sunburn! Unfortunately, her father came back looking like a hot sunburned mess! Tsk, tsk!

Birchbox - June

Yay my 2nd month of Birchbox finally came! Always exciting to see this little box waiting for me next to Zoe when I arrive home! Here are the official descriptions of the contents in the box as well as my mini reviews.

1. Kate Spade Twirl - This Flirty scent feels carefree and joyful - just the thing to wear on your adventures at home.

- - My Review - Unfortunately I can not give a review on this product because when I opened the perfume booklet the actual perfume sample was missing! I was so bummed. I searched the entire box and they forgot to include the sample. I sent Birchbox a few days ago and I still have not received a response back. Bummer.

2. Laura Geller Baked Blush N' Brighten - Made in Italy, this swirl of warm and cool tones is infinitely versatile - dust your cheeks for a flattering flush or use the lighter shades as a highlighter.

- - My Review - When I opened my Birchbox my tanning loving sister was right next to me and when she saw this blush she gasped out loud. I am a NC 25 in MAC terms this was just too bronze for me. I was really impressed on the size of the blush that they gave me. I don't look good with a bronze glow or with a tan at all. My sister was beyond excited when I gave it to her. I am glad someone would put this to good use.

3. Sircuit Cosmeceuticals Molecular Mist - This high-tech spray uses heavy water to keep your skin hydrated all day. Use it pre-moisturizer, as an in-flight refresh, or to set makeup.

- - My Review - Must remember to spray a few more inches away from face. At first I sprayed it too close to my face and bam right in the eye. Moded indeed. I love the scent of the mist. Very reminiscent of having sunscreen applied all over my face during summertime when I was younger. It felt very refreshing. I sprayed it on around 9 a.m before my shift started at work and throughout the day the scent kept creeping up on me. After a long day around 6 p.m when I was clocking out my face still looked fresh. I am going to try it out on one of these hotter days and hope it went as well as it did on my normal day.

4. Weleda Wild Rose Smoothing Facial Lotion - Infused with rosehip seed oil, this light moisturizer has tons of essential fatty acids and antioxidants to keep skin smooth and soft.

- - My Review - I still need to try this one out! :( So sorry!!!

5. Deborah Lippmann Stripper to Go Nail Laquer Removers - Fix your mani on the fly! Each handy packet contains a remover-soaked "mitt" that erases polish without drying out nails.

- - My Review - I can't wait to try this out! I will include a review when I finally wear some glitter polish and hope that it works as easy as it is described. I have always dreaded wearing glitter polish due to the removing part. :(

I was beyond excited when I found out that Vans was coming out with a Hello Kitty Collection. My first thought was "Must get for Zoe!!!". Of course I could not decide on just one pair so I decided to get them both. They fit big on her right now she will of course grow into them! I think they are so cute!

Ahoy! I had an extremely busy and stressful week last week. Zoe came down with a scary fever so we were in and out of the hospital. She is doing much better now thank goodness. I was really stressed out and during my down time usually when she would finally take a nap I would just sit down and paint my nails. I went through all of these colors in a week and decided since I was changing them like crazy I should feature the OPI Pirates of the Caribbean collection. Love all of these colors and if I had to chose a favorite it would probably be Mermaids Tears. Soo many compliments on wearing that color!

I was super stocked to see that this year was a Philosophy product. I got the Philosophy Vanilla Birthday Cake- Shampoo, Shower Gel & Bubble Bath. I can't wait to try it out. It smells delicious! I have a sudden urge to bake a cake. Yum!

Birchbox - May

I was happy to see this lovely little package waiting for me when I arrived home today. I recently subscribed to Birchbox which a monthly service that delievers 4-5 samples of beauty products. They can range from skincare to makeup. I must admit I have always been a fan of mystery boxes. I decided why not give it a try for a few months to see if I like it. Here it was I received  for the month of May. Birchbox included a brief description of each item.

1. Stila Eyeshadow - An easy-to-blend shadow with a velvety texture - apply it dry for a wash of color, or add a little water to turn it into a liner.
- - My Review - I have always wanted to try products from Stila, specifically their Lip Glazes. The eyeshadow is pretty pig and is a really pretty purple color. When I first swatched the eyeshadow it needed a lot of swipes to get the purple to show. I can see myself using this color once in a while but not on a daily basis.

2. Bulgari Mon Jasmin Noir - The Italian fragrance house's latest winner has waves of ripe fruit with a base of heady jasmine.
- - My Review - I sprayed this perfume right away so I could let it sit and see if it got me nauseous. I could not stand having this scent on me for more than 3 minutes. It immediately reminded me of a Thanksgiving dinner I went to back in the 90's and I think it was my Grandma that had it on. I only sprayed it once very lightly but it felt as though I had bathed in it. I would not be interested in ever using this perfume in the future.

3. Archipelago Pomegranate Soap - A triple-milled soap loaded antioxidant-rich white tea and pomegranate to gently clean hands and body.
- - My Review - Have not gotten a chance to try it but it smells sweet from inside the box

 4. Ahava Mineral Hand Cream - This satiny cream is right without being heavy, and sinks into skin for major therapeutic benefits.
- - My Review - I put this in my purse so I can try it out for a few days to see if I like it. It smells nice from the tube but I sprayed the perfume on first and I didn't want to mix smells.

Nails of The Day - OPI Cozu-Melted in The Sun

Another one of my recent polish purchases. OPI Cozu-Melted in The Sun is a nice color although I was expecting something a little more coral where this color turned out being a little bit more on the pink side. I feel as though I wouldn't wear this color quite often. My sister really liked it so I am thinking of maybe giving it to her. :)

I had an amazing Mothers Day! I spent the entire day shopping with my family. I picked up a lot of goodies that I have been looking at for the longest time. Here is a run down of my latest mini haul:

Ulta -  I got the Pirates of The Caribbean OPI Collection nail polishes. From left to right (Planks A Lot, Sparrow Me The Drama, Mermaids Tears & Silver Shatter) I was surprised how many people were waiting in line to get the silver shatter. I can't wait to use all of the colors!

MAC - I was drawn to Biker Blue nail polish. I have a blue that is similar but it doesn't have any sparkle to it.

Sephora - I finally caved in after reading a lot of good reviews about Tweezerman! I also love that it came in a Betsey Johnson Marilyn Monroe design! It works really good and gets the tiniest of hairs. Love, love, love! A lot of friends were also recommending The Purity One-Step Facial Cleanser from Philosophy so I am going to try that out and let you all know how it works.

The Body Shop - I always go into this store and sample the body butters and I always leave the store empty handed! This time I was determined to finally get some. I fell in love with the Strawberry, Lemon and Coconut scent. These leave my hands feeling so smooth and smelling like yum! They had a 2 for $10 deal so I got a few!

Nails of The Day - OPI San Tan-Tonio

I have been procrastinating on getting this lovely color for the longest time. Every time I go into a store and look at this color I always say that I am going to get it and then I end up not buying it. I finally decided to stop being a brat and just buy the color. I love it!! It makes me feel like I have little drops of coffee on my nails. Hmm I think my Starbucks obsession is getting a bit much. ...Anyways, San Tan-Tonio from OPI is a great nude color that makes my nails look fabulous and classy at the same time.

Happy Mothers Day

Happy Mothers Day everyone! I hope your mom or if you are a mom have an amazing day! This is my first Mothers Day and I am spending it with my family and of course my daughter Zoe. We went to dinner last night at Benihana and it was delicious as usual! Today Zoe and I are going to hit the shopping scene and use all of these awesome giftcards! Shopping Goodies - MAC Cosmetics

I did a mini MAC Haul the other day. I went to go check out the Fashion Flower collection. I fell in love with the lipstick Ever Hip and the lipgelee Budding Beauty. The go perfect together as well. I also spent some time with an super sweet MAC employee about perfecting my eyebrows. I loved her tutorial so much and it really made my eyebrows look extra fierce. I bought Spiked Eye brow pencil as well. I am getting better at my brows. I was also running out of brush cleaner so that was also a must buy! Oh I will be posting this super cute DIY involving the brush cleaner too. I find this method a lot easier to clean my brushes. Stay tuned!

Super Yum - Mission Minis

So I first saw Mission Minis on the show Cupcake Wars on The Food Network. I really do love that show and I always want to try all of the cupcakes that are on the show so I got really excited to know that one of the contestants had a local shop. Each little mini cupcake is $1.00. I bought 12 so I can let my family try them out. I was reading different Yelp reviews and could not wait to try the Cinnamon Horchata flavor. I got there pretty late so they were already sold out of the Swiss Almond Coconut one that my boyfriend really wanted to try. Bummer. It's ok it makes for another trip! I loved the Horchata cupcake. I am not a big fan of cream cheese frosting though. I recommend for any fellow San Franciscan to try this place out! Really good noms!

Nails of The Day - OPI Significant Other Color

OPI's Significant Other Color is a really pretty iridescent polish. A purple mixed with pink and gold reflects that is sure to catch peoples attention. I got this color from the promo that Ulta had going on the other day. My boyfriend said that he does not like this color on me. Hmm I guess he just chose a new color for me to sneak and paint his toe nails with when he is sleeping.

Ahhh so I caved in and bought the Urban Decay Naked Palette. It took a lot of thought and after many swatches I realized that I wear a lot of these color on a daily basis so this is a perfect palette. It also comes with a cute travel size Primer Potion which is always a plus. I also took advantage of the Buy Two Nail Polish Get One Free offer that Ulta has going on. The colors pictures from right to left are Princesses Rule, Cozu-Melted In The Sun, and Significant Other Color. I can not wait to try them all on! Of course they will be featured on my nails of the day some time in the future.
