Face of The Day - Who's That Chick?

Hey everyone. It's been a while! I have just been getting back into the groove of things with my new job and planning Zoe's 2nd Birthday party. I feel extremely blessed with all of the new amazing opportunities I have been given. I am excited for Halloween and I have already completed one look! I can't wait to post it. I will start posting the looks in the beginning of October! Super excited. Can't wait to decorate our place with spooky decor.

Today's look was inspired by Rihanna's fun and gorgeous makeup from the "Who's That Chick?" Day version music video. Her makeup was so vibrant and electric. I softened up the cheeks a tad bit. I loved wearing this look out!

Face of The Day - Nicki Minaj Inspired

Hello loves. This face of the day is a look that I did inspired by Nicki Minaj. She had this really cool bright eye look for MAC's Viva Glam campaign. I thought it was a fun look to try to recreate. I know I am a little late but I am glad that I gave it a try. I have the sudden urge to dig through my old collection of MAC post cards and try to recreate some more looks. What were some of your favorite MAC looks? I loved Rebel Rock and Pop Mode.

Nails of The Day - China Glaze Starboard

I have always wanted a true green and Starboard from China Glaze was perfect! It did clash with some of my outfits but it was a nice change of color. I ended up putting OPI's Black Shatter on top and it turned out quite nice!

Face of The Day - Greens & Yellow

Here is my face of the day. I had some time before work to actually attempt to add some color and I was inspired by my yummy lemonade. I love how vivid the colors came out and it lasted all day. I will always recommend Urban Decays Primer Potion. Major lovage.

Nails of The Week - OPI Pirates of the Caribbean

Ahoy! I had an extremely busy and stressful week last week. Zoe came down with a scary fever so we were in and out of the hospital. She is doing much better now thank goodness. I was really stressed out and during my down time usually when she would finally take a nap I would just sit down and paint my nails. I went through all of these colors in a week and decided since I was changing them like crazy I should feature the OPI Pirates of the Caribbean collection. Love all of these colors and if I had to chose a favorite it would probably be Mermaids Tears. Soo many compliments on wearing that color!

Nails of The Day - OPI Jade is The New Black

Please excuse my un-manicured nails! I wore these nails for the longest time and I think this color has got me the most compliments! Jade is the new black from OPI is definitely one of my favorite colors now. I usually always wear mostly black and it really added a nice accent to my daily wardrobe.
Sorry for the lack of posts lately. Zoe has started her solid foods and teething so after work has just been Zoe time! I took her pictures with the Easter bunny yesterday and it was so much fun to see her laugh. I really wanted to get her ears pierced but her Dad was not on board and we always make sure we are both 100% ok with our decisions so for now it is a no go. :(

Ok I am going to be very bold and state that I need to start getting healthy. I feel like such a sloth. After I had Zoe I would run everyday and I lost all of my baby weight and more. I felt so much healthier and alive! Ever since I went back to work it has been hard finding time to work out. I feel so guilty leaving Zoe for 8 hours + so I just want to spend all my time with her when I come home. I still have not given into temptation and drink soda. I have been Soda-Free since Nov. 2010 yay! But I still feel like I am eating like a pig. I gained all my weight back and I really feel down. I need to stop looking at that number on the scale and start doing this for a healthier Shannyn. I don't want to be the tired mom that can't keep up with her kid. I need to set an example for my daughter. As of today I will start eating better and find time to squeeze in a run here and there. I have to do this! I will be checking in from time to time to let you all know of my progress to a healthier lifestyle. I feel better putting this out there in public. That way I can know that I am setting my goal and I need to stick to it! Here is my "Before" picture. I wore this when I went to WonderCon and I felt so huge and bloated the entire day!

I know I am a bit late but I forgot I had these green polishes from Zoya! I got these on the Get Your Green On Promo that they did which was Get all three nail polish for $5.00! How could I not buy them? I love them all but if I had to chose I would pick Envy as my favorite!
