Review - NARS Audacious Lipstick in Dominique is exclusive to NARS.com & Barney's New York. The pigmentation on this lipstick was simply amazing. Full complete coverage with one swipe. Dominique is a unique color that I can only slightly compare to RiRi Boy from the RiRi Hearts MAC Collection. The lipstick had excellent staying power and needed minor touch ups after eating. Now I know the price is steep and believe me when I say that I was going back and forth on whether to purchase or not. After wearing it out for an entire day and witnessing the staying power and not to mention how beautiful this color is I do feel slightly better about the price. I am trying to fight the urge in splurging on more colors but I don't know how long I can resist collecting all of the NARS Audacious lipsticks.

» Overall Rating - MAC Cosmetics recently launched their latest collection A Novel Romance. Not much caught my eye from the collection except these two gorgeous lipsticks. Lingering Kiss is described as a deep plum red on MAC's website. I am OBSESSED with this color. A few Beauty Blogs that I have read compared this color to Talk That Talk from the Rihanna collection that I sadly did not get a chance to grab. The application was smooth and reached opaque coverage with the first swipe. Hearts Aflame is described as a mid tone brick red. This color was reminiscent of Rocker lipstick sans the micro glitter. This color stayed opaque for over 7 hours! Check your local MAC Store or counter for availability.

L.A. Girl Cosmetics Glazed Lip Paint Swatches

L.A. Girl Cosmetics just released their brand new collection of glazed lip paint. I was introduced to this brand while I was at the PHAMExpo that just took place in June. I was intrigued to try out these lip paints because I am a fan of the Too Faced Melted lipsticks and thought these looked quite similar in concept and packaging.

Swatch of The Day - Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm

Hello! It's been a long time! I have missed blogging. My work life has been quite hectic.

Today I bring you swatches of two new Matte Balm from Revlon's Colorburst line. I have quickly fallen in love with these lip balms. It's hard for me to pass up matte lipstick and when I saw that they had a purple one I knew I had to act fast! Today I bring you swatches of Sultry and Shameless.

» Overall Rating - Love! These are very reminiscent of the Tarte Lip Surgence Matte Lipsticks. They are retractable and have a soft peppermint taste. Easy to glide on, nourishing and great pigmentation. Sultry is a perfect everyday color that you can pair with any eye look.  Shameless is a vibrant purple that has been hard for me to find for a drugstore lipstick. I did have to layer it a tad bit around the center of my lips to even it out. I can not wait to collect all of the colors. I have been reading from various places that these are permanent which makes me really happy! I recommend finding the best price around your local drugstores before buying these.

» Overall Rating - A tad bit deeper than MAC's Ruby Woo. It has a retro matte finish and did not leave my lips feeling dry. Lasted a good 7 hours before signs of fading began to show. This lipstick will be launching again in June with the RiRi Hearts MAC Collection. The collection will be released in multiple installments throughout the year.

» Overall Rating - Infatuated with this color! Fantastic pigmentation. Glided on quite smoothly. Non drying. The fine tip gives you more control of your shape. Lasted 4 hours before minor signs of fading began to show in the center.

» Overall Rating - It is described as a rich terracotta with vivid orange undertones. This lip tar is part of OCC's Sci-Fi Lullabies Collection. It has a matte finish. This particular color was inspired by the book/movie A Clockwork Orange. I am in love with this color! Perfect for Spring & Summer. Not too vibrant and not too pale. My favorite lip tar from the Sci-Fi Lullabies collection.

MAC Fashion Sets Swatches - Ablaze & Heroine

Today MAC Cosmetics launched their new limited edition collection Fashion Sets. It had an early release online and it hit all MAC stores/counters today. I was impressed with the entire collection but I only wanted two of the four lipsticks that launched. I picked up the highly anticipated Heroine & Ablaze. I bought a backup of Heroine because I love purple lipsticks so much. After swatching Ablaze I regret not getting a backup of that color. It is stunning!

» Overall Rating - Please excuse the delay in this post. I apologize that this lipstick is currently sold out. I decided to post up the swatch for anyone that needed a reference in how Betty Bright showed up. This is a lipstick with a satin finish. The color is a vibrant peachy coral. I was pleasantly surprised that it did not wash me out. I did need to layer this color quite a bit but that is the case for most lipsticks with a satin finish that I own.

» Overall Rating - Amazing lasting power. I can eat and drink with ease, this color does not budge. It is slightly darker than my natural lip color so it gives the illusion of fuller lips. It has a peppermint taste to it that is not overpowering. I love that it is retractable with no need for a separate sharpener. Can't wait to try other colors!

» Overall Rating - Very hydrating. It glided on smoothly across my lips. It had a delicious fruit taste to it. It provided opaque coverage with shine. It did not feather and wore for 5 hours before signs of fading in the center began to show. My lips felt soft and hydrated even after I removed the color.

Mini Drugstore Lipstick Haul

Hey everyone! I wanted to share with you all today a few swatches of some new lipsticks that I have recently picked up. I picked up some of the new Maybelline Color Sensational Vivids and a Wet n Wild MegaLast Lip Color.

Maybelline Color Sensational Vivids - I picked these up at ULTA because they were having an awesome sale which was buy one Maybelline product, get one 50% off. I first bought Brazen Berry but fell in love with swatches of all of the other colors that I was finding. These lipsticks definitely have high impact color. I was expecting Brazen Berry to show up a bit more purple on my lips but still loved the final result. The other two that I picked up was Shocking Coral (Left) and Vibrant Mandarin (Right). Both of those color looked true to their color and applied smoothly. If you are looking for a vibrant lip color at a reasonable price I highly suggest that you check out these vivids!

Wet N Wild Megalast Lip Color - I have reviewed these lip colors in the past and instantly fell in love. When I found out that Rite Aid was having a sale which was 40% off different brands which included Wet N Wild, I took that opportunity to stock up! I love dark lip colors so I was immediately drawn to Vamp It Up. It is a deep plum color that makes a statement. I love how it glided across my lips and did not require any layering. The color lasted all day with minor fading towards the end of the night.

IMATS 2013 Haul

Hey dolls! I know I am a bit late in posting my IMATS Haul but right after my mini vacay to Pasadena I have been working non stop! I had the best time at IMATS this year and it was really amazing getting to see everyone, meet new people, visit the different brands and admire all of the talented makeup artists & special fx artists all under one roof! Velour Lashes - I have been wanting to try these lashes for the longest time. The price was definitely holding me back. I was extremely happy to see Velour Lashes at IMATS and to find out that their lashes were on sale! I was immediately attracted to this style which is called "Oops! Naughty Me" I love how they looked layered and they are longer in the middle. I usually wear a winged liner and I love having more volume in the center of my lids. They feel so luxe and look very natural. 

Lit Cosmetics - You all know how much I love glitter right? Lit Cosmetics has the best glitter out there. I love that you get to chose the cut size of the glitter. I usually get size 2 and 3. From left to right I got Peacock, Hot Chocolate & Twisted Sistah. I can not wait to incorporate these glitter into my looks. I have a difficult time photographing glitter so if any of my fellow Beauty Bloggers have any tips I would greatly appreciate that.

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics - OCC was packed. I was pretty bummed because I wanted to try out their concealers but it was really hard to get a chance to grab any testers. I knew that I wanted these two lip tars in Vintage and Hoochie. Both of these lip tars are must haves for your collection. I can see myself wearing Vintage everyday. It is the perfect deep red. Hoochie is lighter than Belladonna and is more on the magenta side. Love them both!

Sugarpill - We may sometimes think to ourselves, "Why don't I own this already?" and that is exactly how I feel about Goldilux Loose Eyeshadow from Sugarpill. I would see this color featured in so many gorgeous looks. I really have no idea what took me so long to get it but I am so happy that I am finally a proud owner of Goldilux! Let me tell you, Sugarpill had this AMAZING palette for sale that featured all of their eyeshadows rolled up into this mega palette. I was so close to buying it but since I already own the Burning Heart palette I just couldn't do it. When that palette does hit the Sugarpill website I may consider it again.

Lime Crime - So many items that I wanted to get! Let's start off with her newly reformulated and repackaged Eyeshadow Helper. I loved the original primer but the concept of needing a spatula to scoop out the primer every time was a bit time consuming. I love that it is in a tube now. I have already used this primer and it works just like the original! Next on the list was Poisonberry lipstick. This lipstick is beyond. When I run out which I probably will because I feel like wearing it every day I will definitely buy back ups. Drum roll please...Velvetines!!! I can not even begin to describe how awesome this product truly is. I bought Red Velvet and Suedeberry. They look like a gloss but in reality they are like a matte lipstick. They are not dry whatsoever. I wore Red Velvet out and by the end of the night it was just as vibrant as it was when I first applied it. This is my honest feedback. I always prep my lips with lip balm but there are some matte lipsticks out there that even with my lip balm tend to get dried out and make my lips feel tight. I do not get that feeling with the Velvetines. The bad news is that they are currently sold out on the Lime Crime website but they will be back in stock in March. Lime Crime also hinted about adding more colors to their lineup. I can't even.

Not Pictured - Sadly, there were a few products that I did not get a chance to photograph up close. (a.k.a I forgot) I also got Model In A Bottle setting spray, Sigma E40 Tapered Blending Brush, Sigma F05 Small Contour Brush, Ardell Wispies which also came with a free large makeup case.
