» Overall Rating - Please excuse the delay in this post. I apologize that this lipstick is currently sold out. I decided to post up the swatch for anyone that needed a reference in how Betty Bright showed up. This is a lipstick with a satin finish. The color is a vibrant peachy coral. I was pleasantly surprised that it did not wash me out. I did need to layer this color quite a bit but that is the case for most lipsticks with a satin finish that I own.

MAC Strength & Aprés Chic Swatches

Hey everyone! I wanted to share with you all some pics and swatches of a few things that I picked up from MAC Cosmetics newest collections. I bought two lipsticks from their Strength Collection and one MSF from their Aprés Chic collection. 

I am in love with the two lipsticks that I got from Strength. The lipsticks launched early online so I was able to place an order right when it came up. Strong Woman is described as a bright violet. The second I put this lipstick I fell in love. It is a gorgeous violet color that has me so excited to wear it out. This is one that I am regretting not getting a few backups of. Party Parrot is described as a bright red-pink and it is a strong vibrant color. I was super bummed that I missed this lipstick when it launched with a previous MAC collection. It is definitely a statement lip and has just the right amount of red and pink. 

The Mineralize Skin Finish that I bought from Aprés Chic was Stereo Rose. I love MSF and Stereo Rose was definitely one that I needed for my MSF collection. Stereo Rose is described as coral with golden/bronze shimmering nuances. I love coral blushes but this one is a perfect mix of coral and gold.

MAC Taste Temptation Lipsticks

Hey everyone! I wanted to post some swatches of the two lipsticks I got from the MAC Taste Temptation Collection. Macy*s was having an early preview event during Black Friday. I picked up two of the mattene lipsticks, Seductive Intent and Night Blooming. Both of these colors are absolutely gorgeous. Seductive Intent has to be my favorite because this color is perfect for Winter!

Hello! I had a lovely package waiting for me and my parents house yesterday! My MAC By Request lipsticks have arrived. The whole launch for this collection was pretty intense. MAC released it a bit early so everyone was up late placing their orders. Candy Yum-Yum sold out really fast and I was super happy that I got a chance to get one. I missed out on this lipstick from the Quite Cute collection and let me tell you, this color is so vibrant and gorgeous. I love all of the different lipsticks and they are my favorite matte finish!I can't wait to start using these lipsticks with different looks. What did you all get from the MAC By Request collection?

Shopping Goodies - MAC Chenman Love and Water

Hey everyone! I am in love! So a few weeks back MAC released the Chenman Love and Water collection. I saw it up on the MAC website early but I usually like to swatch before I buy so I called my local counter to see if they were doing pre sales on this collection. They said that they were but they were already sold out of the lipsticks! I found some gorgeous swatches on Temptalia.com so I decided just to order it online. I was so happy that I did because it was sold out a few hours later!

These lipsticks are gorgeous. Force of Love is definitely my favorite. It is a matte finish which is major love! This color definitely lives up to it's hype. I am sad that I did not buy backups of this color. It is definitely a statement lip color! Budding Love is a pale lavender that goes on quite sheer at first. It took some packing on to start seeing it on my lips. With a good base I feel like this color can really stand out.

Hello! This post is dedicated to a new love of mine, Urban Decay's Super-Saturated Lip Color in Lovechild. I will definitely be purchasing back ups of this color. I would always swatch it when I was at Sephora. It looked so pretty on my hand but I wasn't so sure it would translate that well on my lips. After looking online at a ton of lip swatches I though it was worth a shot. I am beyond happy that I purchased this! The color is so beautiful and I think it would go perfect with any makeup look. It is super easy to apply. I think of it as a bigger lip liner and it glides on so smoothly. It had stayed on all night and the color still looked vibrant at the end of the night. I am going to go back and try all of the other colors. This color would look beautiful on any skin tone so I highly recommend!

Nails of The Day - Pink Leopard w/ Sally Hansen's Nail Art Pen

So I have been attempting to create leopard print nail art on my nails for the longest time. I first stumbled upon a really cool tutorial from Gem Fatale's Style Blog in which she created super cute gorgeous leopard nails using liquid eyeliner. Her nails turned out fabulous but mine not so much. :( After I waited what seemed like forever I applied my top coat but then the liquid eyeliner smudged every leopard spot that I created. I finally decided to try to find a good nail art pen so I can get more precise lines and not worry about it smearing all over the place. I love Sally Hansen nail polish so purchasing their nail art pen seemed like a good idea.

I love this pen! It is super easy to use. Give it a good shake before you use it and you are good to go. It gave me accurate lines and didn't leak everywhere. Once I applied my Seche Vite top coat none of my lines smudged at all. I still need to practice on creating perfect leopard spots but I think I did ok for my second attempt. I used Sally Hansen's Wet Cement as the base and OPI's Sparrow Me The Drama to fill in the leopard spots. I can not wait to use this pen again and start getting a little bit more creative with my nails.

Nails of The Day - OPI Teenage Dream

Please excuse my hang nail of death. Super painful. So these are nails from a few days ago before I received my lovely Birchbox for June that had Deborah Lippmann Stripper to Go Nail Laquer Removers. Sigh.... Just thinking about all of those helpless cotton balls that were destroyed in removing the glitter polish. It's ok I am really happy that I was able to get Teenage Dream from the Katy Perry for OPI collection. I got it at a random hair salon in the mall. I really love this polish! Super cute and made my nails sparkle! The only downfall was the crazy amount of cotton balls + remover to take it off.

Nails of The Week - OPI Pirates of the Caribbean

Ahoy! I had an extremely busy and stressful week last week. Zoe came down with a scary fever so we were in and out of the hospital. She is doing much better now thank goodness. I was really stressed out and during my down time usually when she would finally take a nap I would just sit down and paint my nails. I went through all of these colors in a week and decided since I was changing them like crazy I should feature the OPI Pirates of the Caribbean collection. Love all of these colors and if I had to chose a favorite it would probably be Mermaids Tears. Soo many compliments on wearing that color!

Nails of The Day - OPI Cozu-Melted in The Sun

Another one of my recent polish purchases. OPI Cozu-Melted in The Sun is a nice color although I was expecting something a little more coral where this color turned out being a little bit more on the pink side. I feel as though I wouldn't wear this color quite often. My sister really liked it so I am thinking of maybe giving it to her. :)

OPI's Significant Other Color is a really pretty iridescent polish. A purple mixed with pink and gold reflects that is sure to catch peoples attention. I got this color from the promo that Ulta had going on the other day. My boyfriend said that he does not like this color on me. Hmm I guess he just chose a new color for me to sneak and paint his toe nails with when he is sleeping.

Ahhh so I caved in and bought the Urban Decay Naked Palette. It took a lot of thought and after many swatches I realized that I wear a lot of these color on a daily basis so this is a perfect palette. It also comes with a cute travel size Primer Potion which is always a plus. I also took advantage of the Buy Two Nail Polish Get One Free offer that Ulta has going on. The colors pictures from right to left are Princesses Rule, Cozu-Melted In The Sun, and Significant Other Color. I can not wait to try them all on! Of course they will be featured on my nails of the day some time in the future.

Nails of The Day - OPI Sweet Memories

This weekend I took Zoe to her second birthday party! We went to her cousin Natalie's 2nd Birthday at a really cute children gymnastics place. I decided to wear all black and I paired it with OPIs Sweet Memories and I added Sally Hansen's Disco Ball glitter top coat. Can I express how much I love this glitter coat! I am so excited to try it on other colors. Excuse the uneven nails. Since I have been back to work my nails have had a rough time. :(
