So I have been attempting to create
leopard print nail art on my nails for the longest time. I first stumbled upon a really cool tutorial from
Gem Fatale's Style Blog in which she created super cute gorgeous leopard nails using liquid eyeliner. Her nails turned out fabulous but mine not so much. :( After I waited what seemed like forever I applied my top coat but then the liquid eyeliner smudged every leopard spot that I created. I finally decided to try to find a good nail art pen so I can get more precise lines and not worry about it smearing all over the place. I love
Sally Hansen nail polish so purchasing their nail art pen seemed like a good idea.
I love this pen! It is super easy to use. Give it a good shake before you use it and you are good to go. It gave me accurate lines and didn't leak everywhere. Once I applied my
Seche Vite top coat none of my lines smudged at all. I still need to practice on creating perfect leopard spots but I think I did
ok for my second attempt. I used
Sally Hansen's Wet Cement as the base and
OPI's Sparrow Me The Drama to fill in the leopard spots. I can not wait to use this pen again and start getting a little bit more creative with my nails.
These are my
"Fails of The Day" using my old liquid eyeliner wand. Notice the major smudging going on. I used
OPI's Sparrow Me The Drama as the base and
Essie Turquoise and Caicos to fill in the leopard spots.
