Review - House of Lashes Noir Fairy & Hollywood Glam

If any of you makeup enthusiasts are on Instagram I am sure you have stumbled upon @HouseofLashes page. House of Lashes offers a variety of styles from natural to glam. Their Noir Fairy lashes are quite popular on Instagram and I immediately fell in love with their luxe appearance. I decided to order a couple of pairs to try out if these lashes were really worth all of the buzz.

» Price -  $18
» Availability - House of Lashes
» Overall Rating - .The Noir Fairy lashes definitely give your lashes that luxe look. I was a bit skeptical at first due to the fact that right after applying them they felt quite heavy. I did not think I was going to be able to wear these lashes. After a few minutes passed that heavy feeling went away and they settled in quite comfortably. I usually opt for thin/invisible band lashes but I got through the entire day without any discomfort. Do they live up to the hype? In my opinion, yes. This multi layered lash gives your look a unique and whimsical touch.

» Price -  $9
» Availability House of Lashes
» Overall Rating - .The Hollywood Glam lashes are part of their "Au Natural" collection. When looking at the product photos and on the models the lashes looked quite full yet still natural. When I opened these up I could not tell a different between these and any other drugstore brand I already owned. It had a nice thin band but there was really nothing else mind blowing about these lashes. They did fill in my lashes a bit. For the price I will stick with my drugstore brand lashes that will give me the same effect for a fraction of the cost.

IMATS 2013 Haul

Hey dolls! I know I am a bit late in posting my IMATS Haul but right after my mini vacay to Pasadena I have been working non stop! I had the best time at IMATS this year and it was really amazing getting to see everyone, meet new people, visit the different brands and admire all of the talented makeup artists & special fx artists all under one roof! If you have an IMATS Haul blog post or YouTube video please leave your links in the comments below. I would love to watch them all!

Let's begin!

Velour Lashes - I have been wanting to try these lashes for the longest time. The price was definitely holding me back. I was extremely happy to see Velour Lashes at IMATS and to find out that their lashes were on sale! I was immediately attracted to this style which is called "Oops! Naughty Me" I love how they looked layered and they are longer in the middle. I usually wear a winged liner and I love having more volume in the center of my lids. They feel so luxe and look very natural.

Lit Cosmetics - You all know how much I love glitter right? Lit Cosmetics has the best glitter out there. I love that you get to chose the cut size of the glitter. I usually get size 2 and 3. From left to right I got Peacock, Hot Chocolate & Twisted Sistah. I can not wait to incorporate these glitter into my looks. I have a difficult time photographing glitter so if any of my fellow Beauty Bloggers have any tips I would greatly appreciate that.

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics - OCC was packed. I was pretty bummed because I wanted to try out their concealers but it was really hard to get a chance to grab any testers. I knew that I wanted these two lip tars in Vintage and Hoochie. Both of these lip tars are must haves for your collection. I can see myself wearing Vintage everyday. It is the perfect deep red. Hoochie is lighter than Belladonna and is more on the magenta side. Love them both!

Sugarpill - We may sometimes think to ourselves, "Why don't I own this already?" and that is exactly how I feel about Goldilux Loose Eyeshadow from Sugarpill. I would see this color featured in so many gorgeous looks. I really have no idea what took me so long to get it but I am so happy that I am finally a proud owner of Goldilux! Let me tell you, Sugarpill had this AMAZING palette for sale that featured all of their eyeshadows rolled up into this mega palette. I was so close to buying it but since I already own the Burning Heart palette I just couldn't do it. When that palette does hit the Sugarpill website I may consider it again.

Lime Crime - So many items that I wanted to get! Let's start off with her newly reformulated and repackaged Eyeshadow Helper. I loved the original primer but the concept of needing a spatula to scoop out the primer every time was a bit time consuming. I love that it is in a tube now. I have already used this primer and it works just like the original! Next on the list was Poisonberry lipstick. This lipstick is beyond. When I run out which I probably will because I feel like wearing it every day I will definitely buy back ups. Drum roll please...Velvetines!!! I can not even begin to describe how awesome this product truly is. I bought Red Velvet and Suedeberry. They look like a gloss but in reality they are like a matte lipstick. They are not dry whatsoever. I wore Red Velvet out and by the end of the night it was just as vibrant as it was when I first applied it. This is my honest feedback. I always prep my lips with lip balm but there are some matte lipsticks out there that even with my lip balm tend to get dried out and make my lips feel tight. I do not get that feeling with the Velvetines. The bad news is that they are currently sold out on the Lime Crime website but they will be back in stock in March. Lime Crime also hinted about adding more colors to their lineup. I can't even.

Not Pictured - Sadly, there were a few products that I did not get a chance to photograph up close. (a.k.a I forgot) I also got Model In A Bottle setting spray, Sigma E40 Tapered Blending Brush, Sigma F05 Small Contour Brush, Ardell Wispies which also came with a free large makeup case.

Face of The Day - Who's That Chick?

Hey everyone. It's been a while! I have just been getting back into the groove of things with my new job and planning Zoe's 2nd Birthday party. I feel extremely blessed with all of the new amazing opportunities I have been given. I am excited for Halloween and I have already completed one look! I can't wait to post it. I will start posting the looks in the beginning of October! Super excited. Can't wait to decorate our place with spooky decor.

Today's look was inspired by Rihanna's fun and gorgeous makeup from the "Who's That Chick?" Day version music video. Her makeup was so vibrant and electric. I softened up the cheeks a tad bit. I loved wearing this look out!

Hey loves! Super excited to show you this look that I did using Sugarpill's Burning Heart Palette. I purchased this from the Beautylish Boutique and I was so excited to use it! I posted this look on my Instagram and on Beautylish and received such amazing comments that I decided this look would be featured on my very first tutorial!

I still have a lot of improvements to make on my tutorials but I really wanted to get this tutorial up for you guys so you could see how I did this look. My skin wasn't at it's greatest but that's life right? I also look a bit more tanned for some reason. I am so excited to start filming more tutorials and create more fun looks! IMATS 2012

Hey everyone! I am a few months late but here are the fun pictures that I took at IMATS 2012 LA. Better late than never right? This is the second year that I attended the International Makeup Artist Trade Show. I was so blown away last year on how amazing the experience was and I knew that I would definitely start attending every year! This year I got there really early but the line was already wrapped around the whole convention center. When we got in it was not crowded at all. My sister and I hit up all of our favorite booths. We did some MAJOR damage this year but I don't have any regrets. I was in heaven. I loved seeing all of the different brands and meeting a variety of new people. The artistry was insane! I was among some of Hollywood's makeup elite. Ve Neill was having a class that I am still kicking myself from missing out on.

Afterwards, we attended another amazing event by Beautylish. It took place in a beautiful restaurant in Pasadena. I love talking to the entire Beautylish team and mingling with awesome Beauty Gurus! It was so much fun!!!

If you have not attended IMATS I highly recommend that you check it out. You get to mingle with fellow beauty lovers, explore the variety of brands, and take advantage of awesome discounts! We already have our hotel booked for IMATS 2013 which by the way has been moved to January instead of June. I can't wait to see you all there!

Lime Crime had a beautiful booth! I got a lot of gorgeous lipsticks and the new Aquataenia Palette.

I went a tad bit crazy at the Ardell booth. One of each please!

Face of The Day - Tarina Tarantino Sparklicity Pure

Hey loves! I have always been a huge fan of Tarina Tarantino and when I found out that she was going to be selling her makeup line at Sephora I was beyond excited to see what she had in store. I fell in love with the Sparklicity Pure a while back but only until recently did I finally buy it. What was I waiting for? They can add the perfect touch of sparkle to your everyday look. They can also work for bold looks with the perfect base. I purchased the Pure Nude and I really don't think pictures can justify how gorgeous and sparkling it is in person. I definitely recommend these for those that want to experiment with adding a bit of sparkles to your eyes, cheeks or lips. It is totally build-able so you can control how intense you want the sparkles to shine!
