Nails of The Day - Pink Leopard w/ Sally Hansen's Nail Art Pen

So I have been attempting to create leopard print nail art on my nails for the longest time. I first stumbled upon a really cool tutorial from Gem Fatale's Style Blog in which she created super cute gorgeous leopard nails using liquid eyeliner. Her nails turned out fabulous but mine not so much. :( After I waited what seemed like forever I applied my top coat but then the liquid eyeliner smudged every leopard spot that I created. I finally decided to try to find a good nail art pen so I can get more precise lines and not worry about it smearing all over the place. I love Sally Hansen nail polish so purchasing their nail art pen seemed like a good idea.

I love this pen! It is super easy to use. Give it a good shake before you use it and you are good to go. It gave me accurate lines and didn't leak everywhere. Once I applied my Seche Vite top coat none of my lines smudged at all. I still need to practice on creating perfect leopard spots but I think I did ok for my second attempt. I used Sally Hansen's Wet Cement as the base and OPI's Sparrow Me The Drama to fill in the leopard spots. I can not wait to use this pen again and start getting a little bit more creative with my nails.

These are my "Fails of The Day" using my old liquid eyeliner wand. Notice the major smudging going on.  I used OPI's Sparrow Me The Drama as the base and Essie Turquoise and Caicos to fill in the leopard spots.

Shopping Goodies - Philosophy, e.l.f., Sally Hansen, Smashbox and Urban Decay

So excited to try all of these goodies out! I have not tried any of these products but I have been reading awesome reviews on them so I decided to give them a whirl. I have tried the Philosophy Purity One-Step Facial Cleanser but I just ran out had to get another one asap. It is my favorite cleanser and really removes all of my makeup. I have an oily T Zone so I wanted to try out some products that would help control all of the oil. Urban Decay's De Silk Oil-Control Makeup Setting Spray seemed like the best option. I got the travel size first to test drive it. I will post my review once I give it a few days of use. I also wanted to try Smashbox Photo Finish Light Foundation Primer because I have been noticing after a long day of work my foundation around my nose seems to be coming off and it looks terrible.

I also purchased e.l.f.'s Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 because based on all of the positive reviews and the awesome price I said why not? Last, but certainly not least, I got Sally Hansen's Nail Art Pen in black. Oh man I must post my Fails of the Day a.k.a Nails of The Day trying to use my liquid eyeliner as a nail art tool. I am hoping that this nail art pen allows me to create the leopard print nails that I have been wanting to have! Expect full reviews on all of these products once I give them a good try! Target is also having a great deal for all of the Moms out there! Buy two boxes of Pampers and get a $20 Target Gift card. Love it!!

Nails of The Day - Essie Turquoise & Caicos

Do you just love turquoise? It is such a beautiful color and turquoise jewelry is always so flattering. I have been wanting this color for a while but it has always been sold out. Luckily I found it at my local ULTA the other day. I love wearing it bare but I decided to add some Sally Hansen's Disco Ball on top pictured in the second picture. I am going to start trying more Essie colors because they have a lot of beautiful colors available. -xoxo Shannyn

Nails of The Day - Sally Hansen Wet Cement

Quickie post. I was getting bored with my brown nails so I decided to try out this gray color that has just been sitting in my nail polish drawer. I really love Sally Hansen's Xtreme Wear because the color payoff is awesome and they actually last a long time on my hardworking nails. I paired Wet Cement with another Sally Hansen favorite of mine, Disco Ball glitter top coat!! I also featured Disco Ball on my other nail of the day using OPI's Sweet Memories. It does look like I have disco ball fingers.

Nails of The Day - OPI Sweet Memories

This weekend I took Zoe to her second birthday party! We went to her cousin Natalie's 2nd Birthday at a really cute children gymnastics place. I decided to wear all black and I paired it with OPIs Sweet Memories and I added Sally Hansen's Disco Ball glitter top coat. Can I express how much I love this glitter coat! I am so excited to try it on other colors. Excuse the uneven nails. Since I have been back to work my nails have had a rough time. :(
