Shopping Goodies - Sephora & MAC
First stop, MAC Cosmetics. I brought 12 empty MAC products to recycle for Back 2 MAC. I always have the hardest time choosing lipsticks but I chose the two that I thought would be perfect for everyday use. I chose Cherish a Satin Lipstick & Angel a Frost Lipstick
(Left to Right: Angel and Cherish)
Swatches on my arm (Angel & Cherish)
Angel Lipstick
Cherish Lipstick
Jack Black Intense Therapy Lip Balm SPF 25
I was also excited to use my 15% off V.I.B Sephora Coupon. I wish I would of gotten more stuff but Zoe was ready for a nap and I didn't want to spend long in the store. I have read a lot of good reviews about the Jack Black Intense Therapy Lip Balm SPF 25. It is supposed to be for men but who cares right? I tried making my boyfriend use it but that was a bust. I love it so much! I got the Lemon & Chamomile flavor. It makes my lips feel so good! I highly recommend! I also got my 87289 bottle of Urban Decay Primer Potion. An essential item I must say. I was also circling the Tweezerman section like a shark. I really really want to buy the Betsey Johnson Marilyn Monroe Tweezers but I am a bit skeptical at a $25 price tag. Is tweezerman tweezers really that good? I am in search of the perfect tweezer. I better research some more before I take the plunge. - xoxo Shannyn

Nails of The Day - OPI Jade is The New Black
Please excuse my un-manicured nails! I wore these nails for the longest time and I think this color has got me the most compliments! Jade is the new black from OPI is definitely one of my favorite colors now. I usually always wear mostly black and it really added a nice accent to my daily wardrobe.
Sorry for the lack of posts lately. Zoe has started her solid foods and teething so after work has just been Zoe time! I took her pictures with the Easter bunny yesterday and it was so much fun to see her laugh. I really wanted to get her ears pierced but her Dad was not on board and we always make sure we are both 100% ok with our decisions so for now it is a no go. :(
Ok I am going to be very bold and state that I need to start getting healthy. I feel like such a sloth. After I had Zoe I would run everyday and I lost all of my baby weight and more. I felt so much healthier and alive! Ever since I went back to work it has been hard finding time to work out. I feel so guilty leaving Zoe for 8 hours + so I just want to spend all my time with her when I come home. I still have not given into temptation and drink soda. I have been Soda-Free since Nov. 2010 yay! But I still feel like I am eating like a pig. I gained all my weight back and I really feel down. I need to stop looking at that number on the scale and start doing this for a healthier Shannyn. I don't want to be the tired mom that can't keep up with her kid. I need to set an example for my daughter. As of today I will start eating better and find time to squeeze in a run here and there. I have to do this! I will be checking in from time to time to let you all know of my progress to a healthier lifestyle. I feel better putting this out there in public. That way I can know that I am setting my goal and I need to stick to it! Here is my "Before" picture. I wore this when I went to WonderCon and I felt so huge and bloated the entire day!

New Makeup Storage!
I am beyond excited. I went to Ikea eons ago and my boyfriend purchased me the Malm 6 Drawer Chest so I can store all of my makeup, nailpolish, jewelry etc.. and it has just been sitting in the box forever! I would bug my boyfriend at least once a week but it he never had time to build it. So we were both off of work today and he had a chance to finally assemble it! Can I say how much I love this drawer? They sell it for $149.99. It is worth it! I am going to buy the whole Malm series of furniture once we move to a bigger place. I finally feel organized with my makeup! I started putting some of my makeup already in there. I still have ways to go but it's coming along!
The Malm 6 Drawer Chest with Vanity Mirror
The top row where I keep my Tarina Tarantino, Betsey Johnson and other cute Jewelry.MAC Eyeshadows, MSF's, Paints, Blushes, and 15 Pan Palettes in the back with depotted eyeshadows.
MAC Pigments, Pigment Samples and Fluidlines
Lipsticks, Lipglasses, Shadesticks, Glitterliners, False Eyelashes, and 2 120 Eyeshadow Palettes from BH Cosmetics.
I love the acrylic lipstick holder so much! I got them at the container store for only $6.99! They can hold 24 lipsticks
A different style of the acrylic holder
Nail Polish section!
I am missing a lot of colors from another big bag of polishes that I can't find. UGH.
I need to find a place to store all of my makeup brushes though! I have bought so much over time and now I need a better place to store them all. Anyone have any suggestions? :)

Happy 6 Months Zoe!
Today is a very special day! My beautiful daughter has turned 6 months! Wow time is going by so fast! She is almost going to be 1! I remember it like it was just yesterday I was on the couch with my big belly thinking about rescheduling my routine checkup for another day. Little did I know that when I went to the hospital I would come back with my baby girl a whole month early. 17 hours, 3 epidurals and 1 C-Section later my little Zoe was born at a tiny 4lbs . I never understood when parents said that once you have a child of your own you will know what true love is. I would give anything for Zoe. She is my reason for living and what I work hard for every day.

Review - Mark Mist Opportunity
Description
Mark Mist Opportunity Multi-Tasking Refresher Kiwi / Grapefruit - Meet your new best friend. This all around skin refresher and revitalizer does it all - a cool spritz instantly purifies, replenishes moisture and exhilarates the senses. A blend of kiwi, grapefruit, lemongrass and bamboo extracts delivers a multi-mix of stimulating, purifying and antioxidant benefits. It's the quick fix of your dreams. Now that's fresh!
My Review
So I have been on the search for the perfect refresher. I have been an avid user of MAC Cosmetics Fix + but I decided to try a different brand out. Don't get my wrong, I absolutely adore my Fix + but for the $19.00 price tag I was open to explore other options. I was browsing around the meet mark website and noticed that they offered a refresher for half the price of my fix +. The reviews seemed pretty decent so I decided to give it a try. When I first tried it the first thing that I noticed was the smell. It did not smell really bad it just kind of reminded me of bubbles. I have a full time job and I'm out the door by 9 a.m and get home around 6 p.m so I need all day coverage. It did set my makeup well and gave me the dewey look. I noticed around 4 hours of usage that whole look goes away. It does refresh my face when I get hot so that is also a plus. All in all it's an ok refresher. I don't regret buying it but I feel as though my heart belongs to MAC Cosmetics Fix + to help set my makeup, provide a sweet scent and refresh my face.

Happy Belated Saint Patricks Day
I know I am a bit late but I forgot I had these green polishes from Zoya! I got these on the Get Your Green On Promo that they did which was Get all three nail polish for $5.00! How could I not buy them? I love them all but if I had to chose I would pick Envy as my favorite!

Nails of The Day - China Glaze Flyin' High
Love love love this color!! I can not believe that I didn't already own this color. It is called Flyin' High by China Glaze. It is a deep turquoise color and it stands out without being overboard!
Can I mention how much I love Zoya nail polish as well? They always have amazing promotions and I just did the BoGo promo and I can't wait to get my polish in the mail. One of the recent promo that they had was for their Intimate Collection for International Women's Day. I got the whole collection for $25.00 with free shipping! The usual price is $8 a bottle! Score! In other non related news, I got a new camera!! I received an amazing accommodation through work & I got the Sony Nex3! I can start taking amazing pictures of Zoe.

Nails of The Day - China Glaze Salsa
Hot mess. Ok I know I have chipped nails but this is after a long week of usage and tough mommy duties! Ahh so horrible I know but when I first applied Salsa by China Glaze it was really gorgeous and bold. I wore it to a Baptism I went to and I also paired it with my all time favorite lipstick, Ruby Woo from MAC. I decided not to look so flashy since I was doing a bold lip and nail and decided to pair it with a soft eye and an all black outfit. Of course I have no good shots of the complete outfit because it always get's a little hectic dressing a baby before a party. Zoe looked so adorable! She wore this super cute Burberry dress from Bloomingdales which she later had an accident on but that's what babies do right? She is going to be 6 months at the end of this month! Where has the time gone?

Nails of The Day - Sally Hansen Wet Cement
Quickie post. I was getting bored with my brown nails so I decided to try out this gray color that has just been sitting in my nail polish drawer. I really love Sally Hansen's Xtreme Wear because the color payoff is awesome and they actually last a long time on my hardworking nails. I paired Wet Cement with another Sally Hansen favorite of mine, Disco Ball glitter top coat!! I also featured Disco Ball on my other nail of the day using OPI's Sweet Memories. It does look like I have disco ball fingers.

Hello Kitty Overnight Bag
Super excited! My Hello Kitty Overnight Bag came in the mail the other day! I love it so much. I can use it for so many things. It is big enough to work as a baby bag/purse for when I am out with Zoe. It's perfect for mini trips too! There are so many compartments to store anything. It is big and the material is perfect for any spills!

Nails of The Day - OPI You Don't Know Jacques
Ok so I know my nails look like an uneven hot mess but this was an emergency quick style color, OPIs You don't know Jacques. I had my nails with the OPI Black Shatter but early in the morning I remembered that I had my district manager coming in to do a "walk" with us so I didn't want to have crazy disco nails and this one of my more subtle nail colors! :p

Yay for Mark!
My Mark items finally came in the mail! I am so excited to use them! I have been using the That's Deep Purifying Gel Cleanser and I absolutely love it! It makes my face feeling so fresh but doesn't make it feel dry and flaky afterward! I decided to try out some more products from Mark. I purchased the Mist Opportunity Refresher and I am hoping that it is just like the Fix + from MAC. I also got the Calming Effect Comforting Milk Cleanser & Matte Chance Lotion & Brow Gel. I will be doing full reviews on them as I try them out!

Lush Goodies
I just love LUSH! Next time I need to go to the store alone because my boyfriend looked like he wanted to pass out and said he was dizzy with all of the different scents. Sigh. So I'm going to try the Love Lettuce facial mask to see how that one compares to the Mask of Magnaminty. I also fell in love with this lemon scented hand lotion for dry cuticles and the lush employee said she was going to give me a sample but I think the sample that she gave me is different from what I wanted but that is ok because it's an excuse to try another product. I'm going to try the Dark Angels scrub on my boyfriend because his face gets oily and it is clogging his pores so I want to help him try to clear up his face. I can not wait to try out everything and review all of them. I love going to lush! I want to try the R&B - Revive and Balance Misbehaving Hair! It smelled so yum and my hair has been a frizz ball lately.

NYX Cosmetics Eyelashes
So I joined the site HauteLook a while back which is a website that has different sales from different brands throughout the week. I was so excited when they had a sale on NYX Cosmetics. Their eyelashes are usually around $4.50 each and I was able to get a pack of 6 pairs for around $11.00! The sad part was that when I tried to get this awesome red lips set it was already sold out. Ugh. They finally came in the mail the other day and I love them already. So far I only tried one pair but I have gotten a lot of good compliments already. Yay! I don't use the glue that it comes with though. I am so used to using the Duo Eyelash Glue so far that has been working fine for me. I will try to post pics soon of me wearing the different pairs to compare them all.

Nails of The Day - OPI Sweet Memories

This weekend I took Zoe to her second birthday party! We went to her cousin Natalie's 2nd Birthday at a really cute children gymnastics place. I decided to wear all black and I paired it with OPIs Sweet Memories and I added Sally Hansen's Disco Ball glitter top coat. Can I express how much I love this glitter coat! I am so excited to try it on other colors. Excuse the uneven nails. Since I have been back to work my nails have had a rough time. :(

MAC Viva Glam Gaga 2
I was so excited when I heard that Lady GaGa was teaming up with MAC Cosmetics again for another lipstick for their Viva Glam campaign. I was so happy when I bought her first Viva Glam lipstick and I love that color so much! The color is a nude tone that would look fabulous with an intense smokey eye. I still need to get used to it because it does go on a little more pale than what I am used to but I know I will grow to love it!!

Review - LUSH Mask of Magnaminty
I posted this review on my tumblr but I wanted to put it on here so I would have all of my reviews organized. :)
I am totally loving The Mask of Magnaminty from LUSH. So I visit a lot of makeup sites that offer beauty product reviews, tutorials, etc..and I have recently been on a search for the perfect facial mask that would not make my skin feel completely dried out after using it. I saw that a lot of different products from LUSH were getting a lot of positive reviews and I saw that the Mask of Magnaminty had a lot of good reviews and people were saying that they would definitely buy it again. I decided to go ahead and try it! I went to the store with my boyfriend and we had so much fun exploring the different products and my bf wanted to eat one of their cupcake soap bombs.
I was so excited to go home and try it! I bought the 11.1oz one for $21.95 and you get a TON of product inside! I left it on for 15 minutes and when I washed it off I felt my face tighten up a bit and it had a nice glow to it! I love it so much! I'm not a huge fan of smell but it doesn't really stink or anything, I am just not that fond of a chocolate mint smell. If you are looking to try a new facial mask I highly recommend this one.
