Shopping Goodies - Inglot

Inglot!! I am so happy that I finally got a chance to visit Inglot. I was having so much fun shopping with my family downtown San Francisco and I was beyond excited to see that they opened a counter at the Macy's in Union Square. I wanted to swatch and try everything on! I started off with the basics. I got the 5 pan Freedom System Palette and the Rainbow eyeshadows. I knew I had to get their gel liners. I will have them all one day. I have been noticing that my MAC blacktrack fluidline has not been staying on my waterline so I will try this one out to see how it goes. I can not wait until I go back. I am going to start making a list! I feel so inspired to try out some new bright looks!

Face of The Day - Browns

This was a look a did a few nights ago. I was going to one of my favorite restaurants, Benihanas, and I wanted to do a soft smokey eye using browns. I really liked how this came out. All eye shadows used were from Urban Decay's Naked Palette. Unfortunately, I did not get a lot of good shots with my eyes opened. Zoe was screaming that Mommy and Daddy needed to hurry up. The food was really yum!

Sephora Friends and Family Haul

Hello! I was so excited for Sephora's Friends and Family Sale online & their special VIB Shopping Event in store. I swear for like a few days I kept adding and subtracting products from my shopping cart. Finally decided to get a few products that I have been eyeing for the longest time. I felt like it was Christmas morning when my package came! I also went to the VIB Shopping Event. I didn't think it was going to be crowded at all because the mall was super empty. Boy was I wrong. So many beauty addicts all crammed into a Sephora. It was really overwhelming at first but I was on a mission! I got a chance to spin the wheel and won a full sized perfume! I also scored an sweet Sephora tote bag! Here are my Sephora goodies!! What did you all get? Please share in the comments!

Clarisonic Mia in the Jaguar Print - I am so happy that I finally decided to get the Clarisonic Mia. Of course I had to get it in the animal print version. I read so many different reviews online, asked friends and family members and all of them had only positive things to say about this. I wear makeup everyday and even after I use makeup wipes I still feel like I have some on me. I have not tried this out yet but I am sure that I will love it!

Benefit Watt's Up Highlighter - This was one of those products that I kept adding and then deleting from my cart. Ugh I love Benefit so much and their high beam highlighter! I think I am softy for super cute packaging but I was super pleased when I tried this out. It gave me a gorgeous finish with a hint of light sparkles. I didn't need a lot of product to have it show up. It is perfect for all different skin tones.

Benefit They're Real Mascara - Perfect timing that I ran out of my current mascara and since this mascara came out I have been wanting to try! I feel that it does live up to it's hype. I wear false lashes everyday. When I don't wear them I feel so incomplete. I first curled my lashes and then applied the mascara. They really made my eyelashes pop! I love the tip of the wand because it is rounded to get the tough inner corners of my eyes.

The Original Beauty Blender - I am so glad that I decided to give in and buy the beauty blender. It gave me a flawless look and cut down the whole application time. It blended my foundation perfectly and was super easy to use. I also loved the pointed tip to reach those hard to get spots. I will be using this everyday before work to save a lot of time.

Nails Inc. Magnetic Polish - Obsessed! I love this so much! I am on a mission now to get different colors of magnetic polish. Super easy to use and I love how I can control how bold I want it to look. Super fun designs. I think I love this more than crackle. I definitely recommend you all to try this! I posted a picture of my nails on Instagram. Please feel free to add me my username is Shannnyn

Review - Studio Secrets Professional Secret No.1 Magic Perfecting Base

Official Description - - Get the perfect skin texture, instantly and all day. The silky, lightweight formula glides onto skin and minimizes the look of pores and fine lines. Skin looks and feels smoothed and resurfaced. The result is a unified matte finish that's flawless. Suitable for all skin types. Dermatologist tested. Non-comedogenic
I absolutely love this primer! I have tried many different primers to help with my oily T-Zone!

I work long 8+ hours shifts at work and by the end of the day I was noticing that my foundation around my T-Zone area, especially my nose, was almost off. Believe me I thought I had tried all primers. Even super expensive ones but none of them were doing the job! I actually decided to try this primer out because of reviews that I was reading on Beautylish. I applied this primer on before I put my foundation and I was pleasantly surprised to still see my foundation still intact around my nose area. The only negative I could think of is that it is not in pump form. I get scared thinking of any bacteria build up so I use my Sigma F60 Foundation Brush to apply and wash it right after!

I definitely recommend this primer for anyone with annoying oily skin such as myself. I finally don't look like Rudolph the red nose reindeer at the end of my shift!! I also have been noticing this product always being sold out at my local Ulta and Target so I think a lot of people have been enjoying it as much as I do!

Totally Loving - Wet N Wild Mega Last Lip Color

(Left to Right - Just Peachy, Smoking Hot Pink and Cherry Bomb)
Official Description - - Lips take center stage! This 4-hour, longwearing lip color leaves a semi-matte, crème finish in one stroke. Glides on easily with rich, velvety color that doesn't cake, feather, or bleed. Made with hydrating skin-care ingredients: Hyaluronic Microspheres provide extraordinary adhesion to lips, an exclusive polymer complex offers cushion-like feel and texture, and natural marine plant extracts Coenzyme Q10 and Vitamins A & E help smooth lips.
I absolutely love matte lipsticks. When I saw a few pictures of these Wet N Wild lipsticks I was quite intrigued. They had an awesome variety of colors and promised to be long lasting. I believe I got them for $2 or $3 I don't remember but I was happy to give them a try.

I highly recommend these lipsticks! Cherry Bomb has to be my favorite so far. I have been looking for a dark color for the longest time. I wore Cherry Bomb for an entire days of running around playing with Zoe. The color did not budge at all. The only problem I had was having to dodge Zoe's crazy hands trying to touch Mommy's lips! There were no signs of fading or smears. It looked as though I had just applied it on. For the amazing price and long lasting coverage I definitely think you should try out these lipsticks.

Zoe is 1!

I'm back! It's been a busy couple of months. My daughter Zoe turned 1 year old on September 30! I could not believe how fast one year had past! I was busy being super mom planning her big birthday bash. We have a large family on both sides so a lot of planning and preparation was needed. Her birthday party was a complete success and I am so grateful to have such loving family and friends. I love watching my daughter grow and learn more each and everyday.  I would love to thank Patisserie Ganache for doing such an amazing job on her cake and really capturing my vision. Here are some pictures of her gorgeous and delicious cake!

Review - Hard Candy Glamoflauge

I have been on a search for the perfect under eye concealer. I think I have fallen in love with Stay Don't Stray from Benefit but I still wanted to test out a few more before I decided to stick with that one. The price is a bit much for the Benefit concealer so I was hoping to find one that wouldn't break the bank. I have read a lot of positive reviews about Hard Candy's Glamoflauge Concealer and the inexpensive price made me super excited to try it out. It was sold out in the store when I went to Walmart so I decided to order it from Walmart.com for only $6.00 with free shipping.

When I first tried it out I made a mistake by adding a TON of product. Believe me when I say that a little goes a long way with this concealer. I purchased the lightest shade and it matched perfectly with my skin. The second I applied it on my skin I already felt how heavy it was going to be. I did not like the feeling. It did not blend well so I started over and applied a tiny bit. Even when I applied the smallest amount possible it felt super heavy. Before I even walked out the door I noticed a ton of creasing going on. I went my entire shift at work with it on and I was not pleased. I will not be purchasing this product. I really wanted to like it but it is too heavy for me and perhaps I will save it if anyone needs help concealing one of their tattoos.

Shopping Goodies - MAC Me Over

Hello! Sorry for the lack of posts! I have been extremely busy getting everything ready for Zoe's 1st Bday Party! I still have a long list of stuff to do. It will all be worth it in the end! So I was super excited for the MAC Me Over collection that came out last week. I love the whole concept behind the whole collection. Here are some of the goodies that I picked up!

- Runway Red Lipstick - This color is beyond gorgeous. I love a good red lipstick and I have fallen in love with this one. I wore it out for a nice of fun Karaoke and it did not budge. It is a bit darker than Ruby Woo lipstick and I am sad that I did not get a backup!

- Peachstock Lipstick - This color is permanent at PRO stores and I do work right next to the PRO store in SF but I wanted to pick this color up anyway. I can see myself pairing a lot of different lipglosses over this and I can wear it on an everyday basis.

- Social Light Lipglass - It is a soft brown with gorgeous gold sparkles. I love it! Can not wait to wear by itself or on top of different lipsticks!

- MAC 226 Small Tapered Blending Brush - This brush has gotten a lot of amazing reviews. It first came out in the Brunette, Blonde, Redhead collection and after that it was on everyone's "must have" list. It is perfect for doing awesome crease work. I can't wait to try it out.

Nails of The Day - Pink Leopard w/ Sally Hansen's Nail Art Pen

So I have been attempting to create leopard print nail art on my nails for the longest time. I first stumbled upon a really cool tutorial from Gem Fatale's Style Blog in which she created super cute gorgeous leopard nails using liquid eyeliner. Her nails turned out fabulous but mine not so much. :( After I waited what seemed like forever I applied my top coat but then the liquid eyeliner smudged every leopard spot that I created. I finally decided to try to find a good nail art pen so I can get more precise lines and not worry about it smearing all over the place. I love Sally Hansen nail polish so purchasing their nail art pen seemed like a good idea.

I love this pen! It is super easy to use. Give it a good shake before you use it and you are good to go. It gave me accurate lines and didn't leak everywhere. Once I applied my Seche Vite top coat none of my lines smudged at all. I still need to practice on creating perfect leopard spots but I think I did ok for my second attempt. I used Sally Hansen's Wet Cement as the base and OPI's Sparrow Me The Drama to fill in the leopard spots. I can not wait to use this pen again and start getting a little bit more creative with my nails.

These are my "Fails of The Day" using my old liquid eyeliner wand. Notice the major smudging going on.  I used OPI's Sparrow Me The Drama as the base and Essie Turquoise and Caicos to fill in the leopard spots.

Shopping Goodies - Philosophy, e.l.f., Sally Hansen, Smashbox and Urban Decay

So excited to try all of these goodies out! I have not tried any of these products but I have been reading awesome reviews on them so I decided to give them a whirl. I have tried the Philosophy Purity One-Step Facial Cleanser but I just ran out had to get another one asap. It is my favorite cleanser and really removes all of my makeup. I have an oily T Zone so I wanted to try out some products that would help control all of the oil. Urban Decay's De Silk Oil-Control Makeup Setting Spray seemed like the best option. I got the travel size first to test drive it. I will post my review once I give it a few days of use. I also wanted to try Smashbox Photo Finish Light Foundation Primer because I have been noticing after a long day of work my foundation around my nose seems to be coming off and it looks terrible.

I also purchased e.l.f.'s Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 because based on all of the positive reviews and the awesome price I said why not? Last, but certainly not least, I got Sally Hansen's Nail Art Pen in black. Oh man I must post my Fails of the Day a.k.a Nails of The Day trying to use my liquid eyeliner as a nail art tool. I am hoping that this nail art pen allows me to create the leopard print nails that I have been wanting to have! Expect full reviews on all of these products once I give them a good try! Target is also having a great deal for all of the Moms out there! Buy two boxes of Pampers and get a $20 Target Gift card. Love it!!

Shopping Goodies - Hello Kitty Watch

Eeek! I always get so excited/nervous when Hautelook has a sale on Hello Kitty jewelry and watches. I swear once 8 a.m PST time rolls around I am there refreshing my computer screen and once I get in there are always items already sold out. I fell in love with this super cute watch from the Kimora Lee Simmons collection that looks like a charm bracelet. I forgot the original price, I am going to probably say around $60.00 or $80.00, but I got this cute little gem for $20! I don't have a watch so this will make a good accessory. It is not available on their website as of right now but I would keep checking back because they always have Hello Kitty items for sale! It also came in this really cute box that I will probably store Zoe's hair accessories in. :)
