Totally Loving - Wet N Wild Mega Last Lip Color

(Left to Right - Just Peachy, Smoking Hot Pink and Cherry Bomb)
Official Description - - Lips take center stage! This 4-hour, longwearing lip color leaves a semi-matte, crème finish in one stroke. Glides on easily with rich, velvety color that doesn't cake, feather, or bleed. Made with hydrating skin-care ingredients: Hyaluronic Microspheres provide extraordinary adhesion to lips, an exclusive polymer complex offers cushion-like feel and texture, and natural marine plant extracts Coenzyme Q10 and Vitamins A & E help smooth lips.
I absolutely love matte lipsticks. When I saw a few pictures of these Wet N Wild lipsticks I was quite intrigued. They had an awesome variety of colors and promised to be long lasting. I believe I got them for $2 or $3 I don't remember but I was happy to give them a try.

I highly recommend these lipsticks! Cherry Bomb has to be my favorite so far. I have been looking for a dark color for the longest time. I wore Cherry Bomb for an entire days of running around playing with Zoe. The color did not budge at all. The only problem I had was having to dodge Zoe's crazy hands trying to touch Mommy's lips! There were no signs of fading or smears. It looked as though I had just applied it on. For the amazing price and long lasting coverage I definitely think you should try out these lipsticks.

Zoe is 1!

I'm back! It's been a busy couple of months. My daughter Zoe turned 1 year old on September 30! I could not believe how fast one year had past! I was busy being super mom planning her big birthday bash. We have a large family on both sides so a lot of planning and preparation was needed. Her birthday party was a complete success and I am so grateful to have such loving family and friends. I love watching my daughter grow and learn more each and everyday.  I would love to thank Patisserie Ganache for doing such an amazing job on her cake and really capturing my vision. Here are some pictures of her gorgeous and delicious cake!

Review - Hard Candy Glamoflauge

I have been on a search for the perfect under eye concealer. I think I have fallen in love with Stay Don't Stray from Benefit but I still wanted to test out a few more before I decided to stick with that one. The price is a bit much for the Benefit concealer so I was hoping to find one that wouldn't break the bank. I have read a lot of positive reviews about Hard Candy's Glamoflauge Concealer and the inexpensive price made me super excited to try it out. It was sold out in the store when I went to Walmart so I decided to order it from Walmart.com for only $6.00 with free shipping.

When I first tried it out I made a mistake by adding a TON of product. Believe me when I say that a little goes a long way with this concealer. I purchased the lightest shade and it matched perfectly with my skin. The second I applied it on my skin I already felt how heavy it was going to be. I did not like the feeling. It did not blend well so I started over and applied a tiny bit. Even when I applied the smallest amount possible it felt super heavy. Before I even walked out the door I noticed a ton of creasing going on. I went my entire shift at work with it on and I was not pleased. I will not be purchasing this product. I really wanted to like it but it is too heavy for me and perhaps I will save it if anyone needs help concealing one of their tattoos.

Shopping Goodies - MAC Me Over

Hello! Sorry for the lack of posts! I have been extremely busy getting everything ready for Zoe's 1st Bday Party! I still have a long list of stuff to do. It will all be worth it in the end! So I was super excited for the MAC Me Over collection that came out last week. I love the whole concept behind the whole collection. Here are some of the goodies that I picked up!

- Runway Red Lipstick - This color is beyond gorgeous. I love a good red lipstick and I have fallen in love with this one. I wore it out for a nice of fun Karaoke and it did not budge. It is a bit darker than Ruby Woo lipstick and I am sad that I did not get a backup!

- Peachstock Lipstick - This color is permanent at PRO stores and I do work right next to the PRO store in SF but I wanted to pick this color up anyway. I can see myself pairing a lot of different lipglosses over this and I can wear it on an everyday basis.

- Social Light Lipglass - It is a soft brown with gorgeous gold sparkles. I love it! Can not wait to wear by itself or on top of different lipsticks!

- MAC 226 Small Tapered Blending Brush - This brush has gotten a lot of amazing reviews. It first came out in the Brunette, Blonde, Redhead collection and after that it was on everyone's "must have" list. It is perfect for doing awesome crease work. I can't wait to try it out.

Nails of The Day - Pink Leopard w/ Sally Hansen's Nail Art Pen

So I have been attempting to create leopard print nail art on my nails for the longest time. I first stumbled upon a really cool tutorial from Gem Fatale's Style Blog in which she created super cute gorgeous leopard nails using liquid eyeliner. Her nails turned out fabulous but mine not so much. :( After I waited what seemed like forever I applied my top coat but then the liquid eyeliner smudged every leopard spot that I created. I finally decided to try to find a good nail art pen so I can get more precise lines and not worry about it smearing all over the place. I love Sally Hansen nail polish so purchasing their nail art pen seemed like a good idea.

I love this pen! It is super easy to use. Give it a good shake before you use it and you are good to go. It gave me accurate lines and didn't leak everywhere. Once I applied my Seche Vite top coat none of my lines smudged at all. I still need to practice on creating perfect leopard spots but I think I did ok for my second attempt. I used Sally Hansen's Wet Cement as the base and OPI's Sparrow Me The Drama to fill in the leopard spots. I can not wait to use this pen again and start getting a little bit more creative with my nails.

These are my "Fails of The Day" using my old liquid eyeliner wand. Notice the major smudging going on.  I used OPI's Sparrow Me The Drama as the base and Essie Turquoise and Caicos to fill in the leopard spots.

Shopping Goodies - Philosophy, e.l.f., Sally Hansen, Smashbox and Urban Decay

So excited to try all of these goodies out! I have not tried any of these products but I have been reading awesome reviews on them so I decided to give them a whirl. I have tried the Philosophy Purity One-Step Facial Cleanser but I just ran out had to get another one asap. It is my favorite cleanser and really removes all of my makeup. I have an oily T Zone so I wanted to try out some products that would help control all of the oil. Urban Decay's De Silk Oil-Control Makeup Setting Spray seemed like the best option. I got the travel size first to test drive it. I will post my review once I give it a few days of use. I also wanted to try Smashbox Photo Finish Light Foundation Primer because I have been noticing after a long day of work my foundation around my nose seems to be coming off and it looks terrible.

I also purchased e.l.f.'s Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 because based on all of the positive reviews and the awesome price I said why not? Last, but certainly not least, I got Sally Hansen's Nail Art Pen in black. Oh man I must post my Fails of the Day a.k.a Nails of The Day trying to use my liquid eyeliner as a nail art tool. I am hoping that this nail art pen allows me to create the leopard print nails that I have been wanting to have! Expect full reviews on all of these products once I give them a good try! Target is also having a great deal for all of the Moms out there! Buy two boxes of Pampers and get a $20 Target Gift card. Love it!!

Shopping Goodies - Hello Kitty Watch

Eeek! I always get so excited/nervous when Hautelook has a sale on Hello Kitty jewelry and watches. I swear once 8 a.m PST time rolls around I am there refreshing my computer screen and once I get in there are always items already sold out. I fell in love with this super cute watch from the Kimora Lee Simmons collection that looks like a charm bracelet. I forgot the original price, I am going to probably say around $60.00 or $80.00, but I got this cute little gem for $20! I don't have a watch so this will make a good accessory. It is not available on their website as of right now but I would keep checking back because they always have Hello Kitty items for sale! It also came in this really cute box that I will probably store Zoe's hair accessories in. :)

I immediately fell in love with this color when I was shopping at Ulta the other day. Nice is Nice from Essie is such a girlie purple that was perfect for a nice summer weekend away from the city. I am starting to really love using Essie nail polish. They have such beautiful colors and it doesn't take a lot of coats to make the colors stand out.

Totally Loving - Muji 5 Drawer Acrylic Case

I was beyond thrilled to see this amazing package waiting for me when I came back home from my weekend getaway. I finally caved in and got the Muji 5 Drawer Acrylic case. Don't get me wrong I love my Malm 6 Drawer Chest from  Ikea but I wanted the Muji so I could store my blushes and face primers. I love Acrylic storage solutions so much because they always look so simple and go with anything! Not everything fits in the drawers such as my MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation or eyelash curlers. All of my blushes and makeup palettes fit perfectly. Once I fill up this one I will definitely be purchasing another one! I think they are currently sold out at the Muji website but you should keep checking back because they always re-stock them.

Review - Benefit One Prime Day

Official Description
This set of mini primers will set your makeup and have you looking perpetually pretty no matter what the situation. "That Gal" face primer smooths on a brighter complexion, The POREfessional PRO balm minimizes the appearance of pores and fine lines, and dual-action Stay Don't Stray eye primer locks on concealer and eye shadow for all-day wear.

My Review
- - "That Gal" Brightening Face Primer - The first thing that I noticed about this little primer was the sweet smell. It was a been reminiscent of a strawberry sorbet smell. I applied a small amount to my face and I noticed an instant brightness to my face. It also gave it a soft glow. I was automatically impressed with it and loved how my face was looking that I almost did not put any foundation on afterwards. It did not feel heavy or thick on my face. When I did put my foundation on it went on smooth and evenly. The packaging is also super cute! I will definitely be purchasing a full size of this face primer.
- - The POREfessional Pro Balm - So this did minimize my pores which was awesome but I did notice that it left my face looking a bit oily. It began to wear off throughout the day. It did leave my face feeling smooth but for the steep price I do not see myself purchasing a full size.
- - Stay Don't Stray Eye Primer - I tried using this product as an eyeshadow primer but it did not work the wonders that my beloved Urban Decay Primer Potion did. I noticed a bit of creasing after a few hours of having it on. On a much lighter note, I absolutely love it for an under the eye concealer. It is the perfect shade for me and helps brightens my dark circles underneath my eyes. I would definitely use it as a concealer but not as an eyeshadow primer.

Makeup by Shannyn - Jennifer

This past weekend I was super excited to do makeup for one of my closest friend little cousin. Jennifer was turning 15 and was celebrating with all of her family and friends for her Quinceañera. For those of you who aren't familiar a Quinceañera is a celebration of a girl's fifteen birthday. It marks the transition of childhood to young womanhood.

I wanted to make sure Jennifer felt like a Princess! I did not want to go to heavy on the makeup because she is still a young lady. Her theme was Beauty and The Beast and she had this gorgeous dress that was reminiscent of Belle. I did a neutral look but added a hint of gold sparkle to stand out. She was super excited after I finished and we were both extremely happy with the end result!
